Third Quarter Goals

This quarter, I will try to earn a B or A. In order to achieve this, I will need to do the work and study for my tests.

This quarter, I will get no fix- it plans.In order to achieve this, I will need to behave and not talk back.

This quarter, I will get a 3.5 G.P.A. In order to achieve this, I will need to work harder on my classes and actually begin to study for a test.

Christmas Memory of 2008

My favorite Christmas memory of 2008 was watching my one year old sister open up gifts. This would be the first christmas that she can actually remember. Family gathered around her waiting to see her open the first gift. She picked it up and threw it across the room not really realizing that there was something inside. My mom went and picked it up for her starting theopening process for her. my baby sister then caught on that she's supposed to rip off the paper to see what's under it. She had received her first of three baby dolls of the day. This was my favorite christmas memory of the 2008

OO7- Quantum of Solace Movie Reveiw

The best movie that I saw this year was OO& Quantum of Solace. The lead actors in this film are Marc Forster, Mathieu Amalric, and many others that can not be found at the moment. This movie is rated PG-13. This movie is about a secret agent that is trying to stop a man from taking over a town's water supply to make him more powerful.

The best scene in this movie is when James Bond is fist fighting another man. James Bond enters this man's estate. Slade (the man) runs out of a closet with a knife and begins to flail at Bond. James then reverses the attack and throws him through the glass doors onto the balchany. Bond then stabs Slade in the neck and Bond wins the fight. He then takes one of Slade's shirts, cleans himself off, and walks downstairs.

I recommend this movie because if you enjoy a good action film this is the one to watch.
Most of my classmates would enjoy this movie because it has a little suspense that would give a few a chill. Ms. Priester would not enjoy this movie because I don't think that she's into action and suspense movies.

Gifts

According to Gifts.com, my gift personality is the all star athlete. I match this personality, because I love to play sports. One gift on the profile that I would really enjoy receiving is Personlized NFL Stadium Blankets, because I really enjoy supporting my Patriots. If I had a million dollars, a gift that I would purchase for every student on campus is a bike, because most people on this campus are lazy.

If it was already eight years from now, I would select a pet named Griet , because this guinea pig needs a home and I've wanted a guinea pig all my life. Irony and Ambiguity

At first, I thought irony was something that you think is going to happen doesn't really happen, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is the difference between what the reader expects or what seems suitable and the reality of what happens. There are three types of irony: verbal, situational, and dramatic.
I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was a cliffhanger that makes you think about what happenes at the end, but I learned that ambiguity is apart of a text with multiple meaning in which something can be interpreted in a number of different ways.
On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be above grade-level.

Theme

At first, I thought theme was just a moral, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, theme isthe authors message about life. Some themes are universal, which means that theyare to thought about in more than one way. Themes are can be found in all genres of literature; the five main genres of literature are poetry, biography, mystery, fantasy, and drama. Since I now understand theme, I can find the theme of my favorite movie. My favorite movie is Forest Gump. The theme of this movie is "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get until it happens." On my theme pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at least above grade-level.
